PROVINCIAL MEWS.
PUTARURU. Ai enjoyable afternoon was spent last week when the friends of Miss S. Baldwin, who ie leaving Putaruru to begin her training as a nurse, gathered to bid her farewell. Musical items were given by Mre. Alexander, Misses Johnson, M. Duxfield and M. Alexander. Recitations by Miss P. Heavey were also enjoyed. Competitions were won by Mieees J Stringer, W. Baldwin and S. Baldwin. Mass J. Karl, in presenting Miss Baldwin -with a camera, wished her much luck for the future.
