RED CROSS SOCIETY.
REPRESENTATIVE GATHERING.
The Farmers' Trading Company's private room was the scene of a happy party in honour of Mrs. E. Wray, first aid instructor of the Auckland branch.
Representatives of leading clubs, whose members passed their first aid examinations were present. The speakers were: Mrs. F. Allen, Royal Society of St. George; Miss Rika Patterson, Victoria League; Mrs. G. E. Shaood, Overseas League; Miss Alice Gray, Catholic Women's League; Mrs. J. Black, J.P., St. Andrew's Ladies' Auxiliary; Mrs. P. North, Ex-Service Women; Mrs. F. Me Bride, J.P., and Mr. Harker, Red Cross Society.
A delightful musical programme was arranged by Mrs. E. Beresford. Thoee taking part were: Misses E. and M. Beresford, Mr. R. M. McKay, Mr. V. Coney, Mr. J. Cullen, Mrs. Mena Mays?, Mies Jean Douglas, Mrs. F. Hobday, and Mies Josie Heath-Preest.
Mrs. P. Heath-Preeet, chairman of the entertainment committee, presided and presented Mre. Wray with a beautiful tea set. Mrs. Heath-Preest presented bouquets to Mrs. T. McNab, Mrs. H. Patterson and Sister Arawa.
