Sarsficld Street, Mr. \V. 11. Hurley presiding over a good attendance. The annual report, submitted by "the lion, secretary. I!ay Hurley, stated that the membership hart increased and the boat.s of the Silver I-'ern one-design class numbered .'!2. with seven others being built. Thanks were due to the many friends who had presented prizes or made donations to the club's funds, especially Sir Ernest Davis fur the Champion Cup. and Mr. .T. R. Savory, of San Francisco, for a substantial cheque for the prize fund. In addition to I*o club races. Silver Fern boats competed at the Anniversary Regatta and also in the regattas of tlio i'onsonhv. Tamaki. liayswater, Richmond and Devonport Clubs and Northcote regatta.

The report expressed the club's appreciation of the advice and assistance of Mr. A. I-ocan, designer of the - Silver Fern class, and Mr. Geo. Tyler for supervision of the building of each boat.

The balance-sheet, presented br Master Kay Wilson, .showed receipts totalling £."i7 14i/2. including donations CMS, and subscriptions £4 12/::. Mr. Dennes. returning thanks for his re-election, said the club was making steady progress and interest in the Silver I-'ern class was shown by the total of ,'!0 boats which would lie racing next season. Their 20 events were carried out without mishaps, the you lis skippers handling their boats well. He hoped that next sea; on they would have a clubhouse on the new boat harbour wall.

Mr. Dennes mentioned the club's visit to Rotorua at Easter, and thanked the Rotorua and Motor Itoat Club for looking after the boys. Several of the chili's earlier members had gone in for larger boats, and hail done well, especially J. Falre, of tile Jeanette. and 11. Hurley, of the Treasure.

Mr. J. It. Savory. of San Francisco. an old Auckland hoy. was elected an honorary life member of tin- Huh. also Mr. Arch l.oiran and Mr. tiro. Tyler. Mr. \V. .V M ilkinson. who was elected nn honorary life niem'ier last year, was presented with his certificate. When returning thanks he inside reference to the popularity of the Silver Kerns, whieh their youns owners handled so well, and s»aid the class was an asset to the yachtinc fleet of Auckland.
