RIFLE SHOOTING.
At the annual general meeting of the Auckland City Defence Kitie Club Mr. 11. G. Collingwood presided over a large attendance of members. The balance-sheet Showed the club to be in a strong financial position, while membership for the coming season promised to be a record. It was decided to open the season with a practice shoot St .">OO and 600 yards on Saturday. 23rd instant. Officers elected :—President. Mr. A. W. IlarrlN: deputy-president. Mr. iH. Judklns; committee. Messrs. XV. K. Buchanan. C. K. Bush. T. I>. Blomfield. 11. G. Collingwood 'and H. Simmonds ; secretary and treasurer. Mr. C. J. M. Clark; assistant secretary. Mr. B. Crocker: auditor, Mr. A. Sommerville; selectors. Messrs. C. J. M. f'lark and 11. Simmonds: handicappers. Messrs. H. G. Collingwood and A. W. Harris.
