N.Z. HORSES GO WELL. TE HERO EPSOM FAVOURITE. (Received 11 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. The New Zealand horses in Sydney for the spring racing carnivals have been performing very well in track trials, Defaulter. Te Hero, Olympus, Beau Repaire, Moorsotis and Peerless showing excellent form.

Defaulter shamed the sprinters by running half a mile in 48 1 /£s. He is very forward in condition. Peerless ran six furlongs in 1.21V4, moving very easily. Te Hero, who is the most popular selection for the Kpsom Handicap and carried a heavy weight, ran the best five furlongs of the morning, taking 1.4%. Moorsotis and Beau Repaire were clocked to run the same distance in 1.4%. Olympus covered four furlongs in 51s. Last year's Metropolitan Handicap winner Royal Chief has been eased up temporarily as he wrenched a leg when he pulled off a shoe while training.
