WYKEMIST ARRIVES.
NOTES FROM BUJBRSUE.
RIDING ENGAGEMENTS.
Tho latest arrival at Ellerslie is Wykemist, who arrived this morning from Hastings. He is in charge of C. Shield, who will ride him in the Pakuranga Hunt Cup. It is not intended to school this horse before the meeting. The Hawke's Bay horeeman H* J. Callahan will attend the Pakuranga Hunt meeting, but so far he lias no mount. However, he has been riding well in the South.
R. Russell is expected to arrive this afternoon from Tauranga with Jayola and Nyloa, who are engaged at the meeting. Nyola is a three-year-old sister to Jayola, but has only had one race—a two-year-old event at Avondale last autnmn.
1 lie Avondale trainer G. Henderson has brought his two horses Royal Fawkea and Hackensch-nidt to Ellerelie .and they will remain here till after the meeting. The latest addition to I. Tucker's team is Gai Wind, who arrived yesterday. She is a six-year-old mare by Lapidary from Legilitas and is owned by Mrs. E. Roberta, who races Agog.
Additional riding engagements at the Pakuranga meeting are:—R. McTavish, Rajanya, Erndale, Silver Glow and Land Girl; J. Hearn. Beverley; A. Jenkins, Bridegroom and Summary; M. Kerr, Bide-a-wee and Bright Idea; S. Tremain, Dutch Girl and Royal Message.
