FACILITIES FOR TRAMPERS.
BETTER TRACKS—NEW HUTS.

''The Government lias decided to make financial provision for the employment in the off season of the men forming the official deer destruction staff. 011 the improvement of tracks and the erection of huts to make more accessible to trampers the Tteraruas and the lake country of the southern mountain areas," stated the Minister of Internal Affairs, the Hon. W. E. Parry, to-day. "A plan of operations has been devised by the physical welfare and recreation branch of the Department of Internal Affairs."
Mr. Parry indicated that in addition to the advantages tranipers will reap, the scheme will have the effect of keeping the deer stalking team intact.
