MEMBERS' REUNION
A luncheon reunion of the Writers' Club was held on Wednesday at Messrs. Ceorjje Court's tearooms. Mrs. C. E. (tilbert was the guest for the day. and spoke on the district of Opotiki and its famous old church of St. Stephen the Ma rt vr.
Other speakers were Airs. Mnixie Carte Lloyd. Mif. Crniiip. who presided, and Mrs. I. M. Cluett. Bouquets of violets were presented to the speakers, an<l the table* wre decorted with chrysanthemums in autumn tints.
FRIENDLY BRIDGE CLUB.
The private room of George Court and Sons' tea rooms was filled yesterday when the friendly Bridge Club held their card afternoon. The tea table was gay with yellow flowers and autumn leaves.
Among the players were: Mrs. E. Shore, Mrs. H. Cooper, Mrs. A. P. Crowe, Mrs. S. J. Shore, Mrs. C. Mitchell, Mrs. L. H. Thompson, Mrs. E. Wall, Mrs. 0. Marrett, Mrs. C. J. McHardy, Mrs. M.
