WINTER ATHLETICS.
AUCKLAND AMATEUR CLUB. ARMSTRONG AND HUGILL WIN. In spite of wet weather there was a good muster of athletes In the Outer Domain for the Auckland Amateur Athletic and Cycle Club's opening meeting for the winter season. The ground was in good condition. Hugill won the steeplechase from a good field. He took the lrad from Bryan Id the straight the first time round, and from then on he stayed in front.
