VITAL STATISTICS.
FIGURES FOR AUCKLAND. An increase in the number of deaths and a decrease in the number of birtas and marriages, were features of the Auckland vital statistics for the month of April, compared with the same period of last year. Marriage notices issued by the registrar numbered 252, or 55 less than the corresponding period of last year. There were 170 deaths, an increase of 16, and 206 .births, compared with 210 in April, 1938.
