VALUES AT WELLINGTON
Practically the whole of the offcWng of hides and skins by the Wellington brokers on Friday was sold at prices inclining to be. easier. All grades of sheepskins were lower by about %d per lb. Heavy ox were in demand and improved l M to Id per lb. Medium weights were fully firm, but light ox, cow and kip declined by %d to %d per lb. There was no demand for tallow.
, The range of prices was as follows: — j Hides.—Ox, 331b to 441b, 4%d to 5%d per lb; 451b to 521b, 4%d to 594 d; 531b to 591b, 5d to GVad; 601b to COlb, ottd to 8d; 701b and over, Gd to 7%d; cow, 331b to 391b, 3d to 5%d; 401b to 481b. 4%d to s%d* 491b and over. 4ttd to 5%d; kip, 251b to 321b, 4%d to 5%d; 171b to 241b, 4%d to 6%d; yearling. 111b t0.161b. 4%d to 7%d; calf, 91b to 101b. 5%d to 7 7 /sd; 61 b to 81b, 6%d to 10% d; lib to 51b, 7d to 10% d Sheepskins.—Halfbred, 6%d to 7%d; fine crossbred. 6%d to 7%d; medium crossbred, to 7%' d; coarse crossbi-ed, e'/id to 7%d: half wools, 5d to 7%d; quarter wools, 3%d to 6%d; pelbs, l%d to 3%d.
