SMITHFIELD MARKET. The Bank of Xew Zealand has received the following advice from its London ofhee as at the close of business this week: "There is a moderate demand for wethers, with prices a. shade lower. The ewe market is dull. The demand for lambs is affected by low prices for chilled beef, and the demand is rather easier. Following is the range of prices-— Wethers, light, 3?4d to 4%d per lb; heavy 2%d to 3%d; ewes, 2%d to 3%d; lambs twos, 6%d to 6%d; eights, 6%d to 6%d----fours, 6%d to 6%d; seconds, G%d to 6%d
