AWAPUNI FORM WAS GOOD.
The Hawera-trained gelding Race Call wae in great form at the Manawatu meeting, and hie prospects in the Easter Handicap at Ellerslie cannot be overlooked. On the first day at Awapuni he beat Laughing Laes over six furlongs, and on the final day he accounted for a strong field over •even furlongs, being timed to run the distance in 1.25 1-5. As Laughing Lass ran a close second to Taurangi in the Thompson Handicap, in which she was unlucky to get beaten, solid support is likely to be forthcoming for Race Call if he goes to the post next Saturday.
