The City views the general international position as distinctly easier. Stock Exchange prices trend upward, and the volume of business is slowly, improving. While observers expect minor setbacks, they believe a real market rally is at present under way. Gilt-edged 3 are slightly firmer, though irregular, due to some holders tending to switch to high-class industrials.
