The works committee, which had investigated complaints regarding the loud-.*j>eaker. reported that it had been found that many of the persons at the Borough Motor Camp, where the speaker wa<s employed, objected to the introduction of advertising matter, and it was accordingly recommended that the speaker be restricted to the announcement of detaile of the carnival programme, and a litUe music. The recommendation was referred to the advancement committee for ite consideration.
