Started By Wealthy Refugees In Australia. MIGRANTS "HAND PICKED." (Received 11.30 a.m.) CANBERRA, this day. The Secretary tb the Department of the Interior, Mr. Carrodus, outlining the methods by which the Government ie "hand picking" aliens who seek permits to enter Australia, said that many wealthy refugees are entering Australia with the intention of establishing new industries there, including one migrant, who has already spent £7000 in starting the manufacture of a specially finished woollen fabric.
