FAREWELL PARTY.
AIRMAN HONOURED. A farewell surprise party was held in the Foresters' Hall, Devonport, on Saturday night. It was given by the many friends of Mr. Ernest Probert. eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. S. B. Probert. 30, Abbotsford Terrace. Devouport, on the occasion of the eve of his departure for Christchurch to join the service of the NewZealand Royal Air Force. Over .">0 guests were present. The supper table* were beautifully decorated in the Air Force colours.
During.supper a toast was given to wish Mr. Probert every success in liis future career. He was also the recipient of several useful presents. Mr. Probert thanked all for the wonderful send-off they had given him. Dancing continued after supper.
