The Wellington Trotting Clirt) brought to a conclusion on Saturday one of the •most suc-cessftrl meetings in its history. X<ot only were the attendances excellent and the totalisator returns greatly increased, hut the racing was also in accord, some very fine performances being recorded during the two days. The South Island p<ioer Blair Athol -won the .principal race each day in most convincing fashion, and in so doing demonstrated that he will go on to further victories. His time tor the two miles in the Dominion Handicap on Saturday was 4.20 2-.">, and this was a record for the course. Acuity, a five-year-old .lack Potts mare, also won a double at the meeting and established new figures for a mile and -a half on the concluding day by running 3.13 3-5. She did this in effortless style, and is sure to go to a tight mark.

The sum of £34.878 was handled at the totalisator on Saturday, as compared with £28.284 10/ for the corresponding day last year, and the total of £.i 3.580 for the meeting was £9002 in excess of that handled a year ago.
