BOXING CONTENDER.
SUSPENDED AFTER WIN. LOSER PUT OUT FOR LIFE. DETROIT, February 5. "Two-ton" Tony Galento's prospects of meeting Joe Louis for the world's heavyweight boxing title have suffered a setback, the Michigan Boxing Commission having questioned the honesty of his defeat of Xatie Brown yesterday. It has suspended him and banned Brown for life. Galento knocked out Brown ih the fourth round at Detroit. Critica consider Galento is merely a second-rate, but picturesque, fighter, being "ballyhooed' 'into prominence. Nevertheless, he ie the National Boxing Association's choice as the first contender for tite tamer-weight title.
