GOOD RACING EXPECTED.

TO-NIGHT AT SPEEDWAY.

The English midget oar driver, Bill Reynolds, came to Auckland with a good reputation, but he finished the meeting at the Western Springs Speedway last Saturday night with an even better one. His great performances kst week, when he won three out of six events, was second in the other three, and also succeeded in ■breaking the New Zealand lap record by \ , w€re IXI,I "P he had been in Auckland only a few days. It may be conhdently expected, therefore, that he will go even better to-night. Prior to the advent of Reynolds, the pqpular American driver, Swede Lindskog, was the etar, and a match betwen the two is a natural,' if ever there was one. They are set down for a series of three races this evening, and these should provide the highlights of the programme. Reynolds' beautiful little four-wheJ chain drive machine was definitely superior to Swede's last week, but it is understood that the American daredevil has been revving h» engine up to concert pitch for this evening s racing, and he is sure to go all out in an attempt to avenge his defeats. Local drivers Jteve been Showing improvement with every meeting, and two of them (particularly, Ron Roycroft and Frank Brewer, are already providing stern opposition for the invaders. The Australian team, headed by the two Wylie Brothers, is also going we'll, and to-night's meeting should be just about the best yet. Added attractions are the inclusion of several motor cycle broadsidinjf events, which always prove popular with the crowd. Charlie Buchanan has been trfhowirwr m particularly well this season, and t'lip races between :him and Done Mattson, if the flatter is a starter, should be thrillers.
