PAPAKURA BOROUGH COUNCIL
The fortnightly meeting of the Papakura Borough ( ouncil was held last evening, the Mayor, Air. S. Kvans, presiding. W. P. Massey Park.—lt was decided to I rename the Railway Reserve W. F. Massey Park in recognition of the work done by the late Kt. Hon. W. F. Massey and his son, Mr. .7. X. Massey, M.P., in securing the reserve as a park for Papakura. Papaktira Reserves.—The foreman* of works was instructed to prepare a report on the levelling of the children's playground. Drivers License Fees.—Advice was received that the council's offer of 50 per cent of the receipts of drivers' license fees would go towards the cost of the traffic control in the borough. No Tag.- The annual accounts had been received back from the Audit Department without a tag. and the clerk, Mr. A. L.-. Cooper, was congratulated. Scheme 13.- Notification was received from the Government that Scheme 13 would be extended to March 31.
