ROUND UP AGAIN
OUTSIDERS WIN. SURPRISES IN FIRST FOUR. ROZEL PAYS PRICE IN HURDLES. It was not a punter's day at Ellerslie to-day. Following three surprise wins in as many races, Round Up, the fourth favourite, again paid his backers by winning the major event, the St. Andrew's Handicap. The favourite, Grateful, was pulled up, lame. Jack Tar, favoured second by the backers, tried hard and ran into second place. The first race was won by Blonde Princess (fourth favourite), the second by Bronze Trail (fifth favourite), and the third by the seventh favour:te (Rozel). The concluding day of the Feilding Jockey Club's meeting was held to-day. The principal, also the St. Andrew's handicap, was won by Brazen King, who was favoured second by the public. Lone Raider was second, and Galteemore third. ♦ I
