Two machines, one from the Central fire station and one from Western Districts, answered a call to an outbreak of fire in a large sedan car near the corner of Garnett Road and West End Road yesterday morning. The car, which is owned by Mr. F. P. Murphy, of Bayfield Road, Herne Bay, was only slightly damaged, the fire being extinguished by hand before the arrival of the brigade.
