MEDICAL OFFICER.
OFFICIAL VISIT TO WAIHI.
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WAIHI, this day. Dr. W. Smith, newly appointed medical officer for the Thames district, paid his first official visit to Wai hi and Waihi Beach to-day. He was accompanied by the district inspector, Mr. White.
The pillar box was introduced into England by Anthony Trollope, the novelist. ■
