AUCKLAND WEST SEAT.
NATIONAL CANDIDATE RETIRES
A new National party candidate to oppose the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage, in the Auckland West electorate, is expected to be announced to-morrow as the result of the resignation from candidature of Mr. H. M. Bagnall.
Mr. Bagnall has informed the party tha>t he has reconsidered his decision to accept the candidature, and a meeting of the financial members of the party in the electorate will be held to-night to select another candidate.
