CORNWALLIS PARK.
IMPROVEMENTS SOUGHT.
ROAD AND WATER SUPPLY.
Request* for the formation of a road down to the store at Cornwallis Park and the laying on of a .water supply were made' to the Auckland City Council last evening. v
Tlie city engineer, Mr. ,T. Tyler, reported that no assistance could be given by the Waitemata County Council. It would necessitate a road being dedicated, and that would involve certain work by the City Council before the County Council could accept it. It was estimated that water could be brought to the beach with one mile and a half of 2in piping, which, with other works, would coat approximately £700.
The Parks Committee's recommendation that no action «hould be taken was approved.
