The seventh Cheeseman Memorial spring show of native flowers is to be opened on ! Nat unlay at 2.30 p.m. by Mr. C. R. Ford. | president <>t the Auckland War Memorial j Aluseum totilicil. There are competitive classes for children and adults, but drifts • of fioTOs or berries for general exhibition j will be welcomed. There are indications I that there will be a record number of I entries from school children. The Loder Cup. given for the protection and cultivation of native flora, will be on display during the exhibition. The cup • was won this year for the Auckland! Museum by Miss Lucy C. Cranwell, I botanist. As Miss Cranwell is away the Auckland i Botanical Society is organising the show | this year, and on Sunday, in conjunction i with it, is giving a lecture in the Museum library entitled "Trees of Xew Zealand " I The speaker will be Mr. D. Campbell
