LANCASHIRE SOCIETY.
There was a large attendance of members and friends at the social held in the Arts Hall this week. Elocutionary items by Miss Meredith, humorous items by Mr. Massey, vocal items by Mrs. Osborne, Miss Peace and Mr. Lowe, accompanied by Mr. P. Black were greatly enjoyed. Winners of the lucky numbers were Mrs. Wright, Mrs. E. Rodgers, Miss Immerson snd Mr. Pickering. Monte Carlo prize* were won by Mrs. E. Rodger® and Mrs. Irvine. The competition was won by Mrs. Haslam and Mrs. Jones. ' |
During the evening Mrs. Brassington and Mrs. Godsall were presented with bouquets on the occasion of their birthday.' Mrs. Dawson was the hostess and supper was served by the ladies of the committee.
