A young British visitor to Berlin was offered £1000 in a Berlin cafe to-day if ].e would give a wealthy German Jewess British nationality by marrying her.

The man who made the offer told him that all he had to do was to go abroad with his "client," passing her off as his fiancee, and then marry her outside (iormany. The £1000 would be paid into a special Ixink account before the marriage and released immediately after the ceremony on condition that the young man would later divorce his wife.

The man, it is understood, is the agent of a large organisation which is on the black licit of the Gestapo, Germon secret police.

The Gestapo claim that this organisation not only carries on this underground marriage business, but smuggles non-Aryans out of Germany and supplies them with forged foreign passports, mostly British and American.

This organisation has agents throughout Germany. Hamburg, Germany's North Sea port, i* one of their chief centres.
