ORANGE BENEFIT TOURNEY, A record tourney was played in the Druids' Hall, Newton, under the auspices of the Orange Club, when 24 teams competed in the B section of the Grey Lvnn Sunday School benefit tourney. Results.— McArthur. Cook (P. and T. Department), Cantweel (Eden-Rogkill R.S.A.), Beer (Grey Lynn), each 3 wins; Phelan, Lambie, Thomas. Martin, Nimmo, Wakefield, Martin, A. Cook, Sussex, Elmore, each 2 ; Whittington. McEwan, Gladstone, Harris, Lockhead, Rambaud, each 1; Roberts, Hollywood, Hurley, Mitchell, each 0. Socni-flnal. —Beer beat McArthur, Cantwell beat Cook. Final. —Cantwell, jun., Pearce, Boler, Cantwell, beat Mrs. Todd, Mm. Elder, W. Aylett, A. Beer. The tourney final will be played on Monday night between the winners of A and B sections. A farther benefit tourney is being staged in aid of the newly-formed Blockhouse Bay Indoor Bowling and Social Club. Section IA will be played next Saturday afternoon and section B on Wednesday night, Septem>ber 14.
