GENERAL ELECTION.
PROBABLE IN NOVEMBER. DURATION OF THE SESSION. 6 (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. It is probable that the general election this year will take place about the beginning of November. The Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage, en id in an interview that he was still confident the present eeesion of Parliament wouH finish by the end of September, and thus leave approximately a month clear for the election campaign. I EDEN ELECTORATE.
NATIONAL PARTY CANDIDATES Nominations of candidates to contest the Eden electorate in the interest* of the National Partv closed with the electorate secretary, Mrs. Estells Thompson, on Saturday. Nine nominations were received, from which a final selection will be made. The nominations received were:—
Mr. Donald Pool, accountant, Eglinton Avenue, Mount Eden.
Dr. E. B. Gunson. Princes Street, City. Mr. J. A. C. AHuin, electrical engineer, City.
Mr. Clifton Clarke, solicitor, Bracken Avenue, Mount Eden.
Mr. Thomas MeNab. monumental mason, Esplanade Road, Mount Eden.
Mr. A. M. Samuels, retired gentleman, Grafton Road.
Mr. Maxwell Stewart Walker, solicitor, Liverpool Street, Epsom.
Mr. B. W. Beaumont, accountant, Henley Road, Mount Eden.
Mr. Ronald W. Coreon, Maungakiekie Avenue, Green Lane.
The final selection of a candidate to represent the party at the election will be made by a vote of all financial members of the Eden branch.
The eeat is at present held. by Mr. W. T. Anderton (Labour).
