FATE OF YOUTH.
KILLED INSTANTLY.
TRAGEDY NEAR CARTERTON. (By TelegTaph—Press Association.) MASTERTOX, this day. Tragedy attended a shooting pp.rty in the Parkvale district yesterday, a youth. Wembley C.oodin, aged IS, of Park Road, Carterton, being fatally shot. The victim and his brother joined a party of Wellington youths, who were equipped with pea rifles. The party split into two, working either side of a, gully. A member of one party is stated to have fired across the gully, the bullet accidentally hitting young (ioodin. who was killed instantly. An inquest was opened at Carterton this morning, and after part of the evidence was heard it was adjourned.
