RIFLE SHOOTING.

NAVY V. CITY CLUB. A match between the Auckland City Rifle Club and the Royal Navy, was held at Penrose on Saturday afternoon. Conditions were good and the match, which was shot under Service regulations, was keenly contested. A pleasant afternoon terminated in a win Tor City by a narrow margin of 45 points, the possible total being 1350. The practices fired were: Five shots application, five shots snap on the same target (3s exposure), 10 shots rapid on the same target (40s exposure), 10 shots snap at the snap-shooting disc (6s exposure for two shots). The scores of the marksmen being given in that order: — ROYAL NAVY.
