Although the home team were lending by 15 poi;its to 11 hnlf-wny through Hip second spell. Grafton beat Otnhuhu at Sturges Park by 30- points to 1.1. Otahuhu wore distinctly unlucky, for the score was not nil indication of t lie run of play. A decided Improvement was evident in the play of the Otnhuhu team, particularly in the forward division, where .T. Belliss. chosen by Mr. I.ucns to train for the representative team, the Grace brothers nnd Priest were outstanding. Halliwell played soundly for Otnhuhu at full-back, and l.nwson and Hedge, despite n handicap through lack of weight, played bright football. Prentice, the Grafton centre, was Hie outstanding back. Killeen was often hustled on defence, but ran his hack-line into action well. Pnssmore nnd McLean were the pick of the forwards. Grafton's points came from tries by Davis (2). Prentice (2). Pnssmore and Mills. Pnssmore and Mel.can (2) converted tries, and Passmore and Pearmnn kicked penalties. W. Apps. I{. Grace and Wepa scored for the losers.
