PETER PAN.
The hearty co-operation of Lauri Paddi and the members of his band in the interpretation of swing music contributed to the enjoyment of dancers at the Peter Pan Cabaret on Saturday evening. "Swing is Here to Sway" was one of the latest numbers that demonstrated the popular rhythm, and the dancers showed their appreciation in demands for encores. Slow and quick fox trots ehared their appeal with jazz waltzes and kept the entertainment at an animated pace. Among those present were: Mesdames Stanley Weir. J. Malcolm, Wall, E. Munro, W. Grose, Patterson; Misses Rona Wood. Doris Gardner, Betty Jury, Iris House, Elva Saunders, G. Mackenzie, Norma Henderson, Barbara Pranklyn, Gladys Culliford, Z. Madigan, E. Wilson, Joan Welsh, A. Gilfeather, Myrtle McCutcheon, Doris Hill, Val Wilson, Ruby Sinton, Mona Gill, Pat Aldridge, Mona Gill, Beverley Piggott, Molly Watson (Wairoa), Alison Watson, Norma Rigby, Ruby McCready, Pat Griffin, Daphne Thoraaseen, Norma Plummer, Isabel and (Nora Duckworth, Gwen Watson.
