MONTHLY BRIDGE.
OVERSEAS LEAGUE PARTY. There was a large attendance at the Overseas League rooms on Saturday night, when the club held one of its monthly bridge cvening3. The players were received by the convener, Mrs. A. E. French, who was assisted by Miss C. Lane. Over 30 tables were arranged for the evening and both auction and contract bridge were played. The results were as follow: —Contract, highest score, Mrs. E. Smith; auction, highest score, Mrs. W. G. Plummer and Mr. H. J. Spencer; hidden numbers, Mre. Howard, Miss Smith and Mr. G. Mills; mah Jong, Mrs. Lawson. Supper was served by a committee comprising Mre. Kelly, Mrs. Schmidt. Mrs. Wade, Mies Lane and Mies Hindle. Among those present were: —Mrs. H. Schmidt, Mrs. N.
