A WINTER'S NIGHT.

ENJOYABLE PROGRAMME. ATHENIAN CLUB FUNCTION. A fitting programme was arranged by the members of the Athenian. Club on Saturday night, when an entertainment entitled, "A Winter's Night," was presented to members and friends. The programme had beeu arranged by the club president, Mr. Harry Wilkins. Mr. Wilkins received the guests, assisted bv Mrs. Wilkins. ' The opening scene of the entertainment depicted a realistic snow storm. with the conventional snow man, and was completed by a skating dance performed by Miss Mardi Brook. Other artists who contributed to the programme were: Mrs. Nigel White, Miss Connie Piper, Professor Maxwell Walker, and Mr. Leslie Russell. The accompanists for the evening were Miss N. Phillips and Miss Elva Carr. During the evening favours were distributed, and each lady received a white posy. The evening ended with the performance of a snow dance.
