COLLISION IN SOUTH.
SEVERAL INJURED.
On a bridge on the main road near the Dannevirke golf links a collision occurred yesterday morning between a car driven by Mr. John Gildea, jun., of Maharahara, and one driven by Mr. Ronald S. Fairbrother, of Te Papakuku, says a Press Association »nessa<re from Dannevirke. In Mr. Gildea's car were Mr. John Gildea, sen., chairman of the Maharahara dairy factory and a member of the executive of the National Dairy .Association, Mrs. Gildea, sen., Mrs. Joblin and her two children. In Mr. Fairbrother's car was Mr. B. Coombes. Mr. Gildea, sen., had both leys broken, and his condition is critical. All the others Buffered cuts, abrasions and shock, but with the exception of Mrs. Gildea they were able to return to their homes after treatment.
