CHAIN STORES.
McKENZIE'B PROGRESS.
During the present week a notable forward move was made by McKenzie's Departmental Stores. Three new establishments were opened, one in Stratford, one in Rotorua and the other in Ashburton. Each of these stores has been provided with an air-conditioned plant for the comfort of customers, and hag as full a range of goods as is available in the metropolitan centres. The amount of organisation necessary for this occasion is very great, and may be realised in part from the fact that it has been necessary to erect large new stores at each town. The whole enterprise illustrates the vast growth of this movement in which the New Zealand organisation, "McKenzies/' has taken a leading part. ,
