OBITUARY.

MR. ARTHUR W. PAGE

The death occurred yesterday at his residence, Rosemont, Mountain Road. Mount Albert, of Mr. Arthur William Page, in his seventy-fifth year. Mr. Page was born in Birmingham and shortly afterwards came to New Zealand in the sailing ship Portland.

After being educated at a private school in Auckland he joined the firm of E. and A. Isaacs, warehousemen. At the age of 22 he started in business on his own account as a grocer and general merchant in Kingsiand, where his store became a well-known landmark.

Mr. Page was president of the Auckland Master Grocers' Association for several years and was also for some time president of the Mount Albert Bowling Club. He was a i >mber of the Masonic Order, and \va> i warden at St. Luke's Anglican Chuv h. Mount Alhert. Mr. and Mrs. Page celebrated their golden wedding on June 21 of this year.
