HONEY INDUSTRY.
SOME CONTROL "WANTED.
(By Telegraph.—Special to "Star.")
DUNEDIN, Monday
For some time the main honeyproducing districts have been petitioning the Government for some form of control, and the reported widespread opposition toward the alleged intention of the Government to take complete control is discounted by persons connected with the industry.
These complaints, it is said, are being made by certain interests outside the associations. Some measure of control for the fixing of minimum prices and functions of that nature is desired by the organised industry, but there is no evidence to support the suggestion that complete control by the Government is contemplated.
