NATIONAL PARTY.
BRIDGE AFTERNOON. The monthly bridge afternoon of the women's organisation of the New Zealand National party was held in George Court and Son's tearooms on Thursday. The prizes, donated by Mrs. A. G. Reeves and Mrs. M. Butterworth, were won by Mrs. Digfcy Cardale and Mrs. E. N. Davies and presented by Mrs. F. Southen. Mrs. E. "on Id gave a short speech on the aims of the party. The function was arranged by Mrs. F. Southen (bridge convener) and the following committee: Mesdames E. A. Sinvthe (social convener), E. S. Crump, L. *M. Clark, L. Beale, E. Gould, N. Speary, T. Hillier, F. W. Doidge, A. W. Black, A. Wriglcv. A. T. Grundy, M. Butterworth, F. H. Palmer, M. P. Wakeuian, Gillies-Martin,. Misses T. Luxford and J. Campbell.
