MUSICAL EVENING.
OVERSEAS LEAGUE. Bowls of spring flowers and a large log fire made a cheery setting at the Oversews League rooms last night, when a musical programme arranged by Mrs. •T. J. Sullivan was presented. Mrs. F. Bauer presided at the meeting. The programme included 6ongs by Madame Aileen Johns, Miss Kay Christie and Mr. Stewart harvey; pianoforte duos by Miss Theo Halpin and Miss May Rowbotliam; pianoforte solos by Miss Winifred Cooke; recitations and sketches by Miss Doreen Saunders, Miss June Hutton and Mr. Dennis Johns; items by an instrumental trio (piano Mrs. Maud Lysaght, violin Miss Daphne Higham, and 'cello Miss Betty Fcnton); Highland reels and flings by Miss Doreen Dunn, Miss Olive Johnston, Miss June Dilly, Mr. George Dunn and Master Noel Nelson. Piper Stewart accompanied the Highland dancing. The accompanists for the other items were Mrs. Beniams and Mrs. H. S. Harvey. A cameo from Dickens, entitled "A Full Blown Peony," was presented by Mrs. Helen Griffiths and Mrs. T. Clarkson.
