BRIDGE AFTERNOON.
PARTY AT LYCEUM CLUB. Mrs. C. Hi T. Palmer, wife of the president of the Navy League, entertained friends at bridge and afternoon tea in the Lyceum Club on Tuesday afternoon last. The lounge looked very attractive and gay with spring flowers, a large bowl of red, white and blue flowers on the centre table being a compliment to the naval officers' wives present.
Amongst those present were the Lady Evelyn Drummond, the Lady Angela Dawnay, Mesdames I. G. Glennie, C. B. Tinley, Robson, Monckton, Wyatt, C. H. Law, H. F. Holmden, Trevor Holmden, J. H. Frater, W. W. Averill, W. Manning, Gordon-Read (Wellington), F. Worsfold, C. F. Bennett, J. Hodgson, A. Goldie, McKee, V. Ussher, J. R. Self, Billington, Graham, L. J. Shrubsall, Shcra, F. Bischoff-Madden, Thornton (England), H. Tiarks, Webber, Nutter, Scoullar, Misses C. and F. Murray, G. Worsfold. Mrs. H. F. Holmden was the winner of auction bridge and Mrs. Scoullar winner of contract bridge.
