NORTH-BOUND TRAINS.
FULL SERVICE TO-DAY.
The normal railway time-table to the Nortli was resumed to-day, subject to possible delays on the way. Improved weather conditions over the week-end enabled gangs of workmen to clear slips and to repair the line where it had been damaged by washouts. Rain which started again last evening hindered progress, but the final obstructions were removed in time to allow the running of the Whangarei-Opua express this morning.
Telephone systems in the North were also brought back to normal during the week-end, the main breaks in the Hoteo district being repaired on Saturday morning.
