KAURI TIMBER CO.
RETIREMENT OF MANAGER.
The retirement is announced of Mr. D. L. J. Clayton, managing director at Auckland of the Kauri Timber Company, Limited. Mr. Clayton, who hae been an official of the company for 44 years, relinquishes his duties on March 1. A former provincial cricket and Rugby football representative, Mr. Clayton retains connection with both games as a member of the Eden Park Control Board.
His successor at Auckland will be Mr. George Trippner, who, in addition to his position as local general manager, will be managing director of the company for New Zealand. Mr. Trippner has been general manager for the company on the West Coast of the South Islaed.
