SMALLER COMPANIES' ACTION.
(Bj- Telesraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Wednesday. Aα increase of 13 per cent in workers' compensation insurance premiums for future business has been made by a number of smaller companies operating m Wellington, but so far there is no clear indication that the increase will be general.
It was stated to-day that the larger companies will not act independently, but are awaiting the decision of the Lndtwwriters , Council, on which the majority of the fire and accident associations are represented. That body has been convening the proposed increase tor some time, but as yet has no definite announcement to make.
