SEAT IN LORDS?
SIR EDWARD WINDSOR. LONDON, February 18. The Duke of Windsor is expected to take his seat in the House of Lords next autumn, telegraphs a correspondent of the "Daily Express" from Windsor. Papers have already been prepared to make this possible, asserts the correspondent. His full message states:—"The Duke of Windsor, now officially styled His Royal Highness Sir Edward Windsor, Prince of Britain and of Ireland, Duke of Windsor, Knight of the Garter, is expected to take his seat in the Lords next autumn. "Letters patent confirming these titles have been prepared, and countersigned by the Prime Minister, Mr. Baldwin, and the Ix>rd Chamberlain, Lord (Vomer. "These documents have been given into the custody of the Office of the Privy Council. "Official intimation that the letters have been completed has just been received at Enzesfeld Castle, where the Duke is staying. "The Duke must take the oath of allegiance and sign the roll of the Lords similarly to any other Peer just receiving a new title. He is unlikely to avail himself of his right to take part ib the debates of the Lords."
