TRAVEL CLUB.

A SOCIAL MORNING. AN AUSTRALIAN GUEST. An informal tea to welcome Mrs. J. W. Prentice, of Sydney, was given by the members of the ladies' committee of the Auckland Travel Club, in the club's offices, yesterday afternoon. For four years Mrs. Prentice was the president of the Xew Zealand Women's Association of Xew South Wales, during which time she took an active part in the promotion of goodwill between the two dominions through her entertaining of Xew Zealand visitors. Among other functions, the Xew Zealand Women's Association holds a fortnightly bridge party, and music evenings every month, at which Xew Zealanders meet each other and are made welcome. Excellent work is done by the members of the sewing circle, who specialise in '•living assistance to the Karitane Babies' Home.
