WAITEMATA CLUB.

The Waitemata Boating Club held a set of handicap pair oar trials for the shield presented to commemorate the club's fiftieth jubilee by Mr. Jim Walt, vice-president, and a foundation member. Seven crews competed and the Hobson Bay course, sheltered by the railway embankment, was rowed. The officials were: Starters, Mr. C. C. Cairns and Mr. R. G. Baxter; Judges, Mr. T. Marshall and Mr. P.
